We know that life can take us in many different directions, and there are many reasons why people may no longer attend church regularly. As a church family, we recognize that we could have done a better job of staying connected with our young adults and creating opportunities for them to remain involved. We want to change that.
Our hope is that 2026 will be a fresh start as we intentionally rebuild those relationships and create a welcoming place where young adults feel valued, connected, and excited to gather for worship, fellowship, service, and community.
To begin this new chapter, Hollie Rinschler invites all young adults to an informal gathering on Sunday, August 9, at 5:00 p.m. at Topgolf. This will be a relaxed evening of golf, conversation, and fellowship as we reconnect and dream together about what a Young Adult Ministry at Deep Creek United Methodist Church could become.
Whether you have recently graduated from high school or are simply looking for a place to connect with other adults, we would love for you to join us. Most importantly, we want to hear your ideas, hopes, and vision as we build this ministry together.
Whether you’ve been attending church regularly, haven’t been in a while, or have found another church home, please know that this is not a plea for you to return to church. Our goal is simply to begin a conversation. We believe that by listening to one another and building relationships, we can create a meaningful ministry that serves young adults wherever they are in their faith journey.
Deep Creek UMC will cover the cost of the golf bay. Attendees will be responsible for their own food and beverage purchases.
